Last month, Microsoft completely ended support for Windows Server 2003 SP2 and Windows Server 2003 R2 as part of the normal Support Lifecycle policies. As of July 15, 2015, there have been no more security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates from Microsoft. We endorse Microsoft’s recommendation that all customers who are still running Windows Server 2003 SP2 need to take the time to identify which of their applications are impacted and actively move forward with migration planning.
While GTB already has migrations completed/decided with its clients, there may be others reading this who still run Server 3003 – contact us regarding your migration options. It may be that you have cloud based options which deliver the functionality you need (or more) and are lower cost than you imagine.
