We’re finding that many people are unhappy with Windows 8, but weren’t aware that Windows 7 is still available and will be supported by Microsoft for another 5 years. If you need to upgrade from XP, and are dreading the thought of Win 8, then talk to us now and take advantage of our January special on labour.
NEWS: Win 7 & Win 10
With Microsoft guaranteeing Win 7 support until 14 January 2020, nearly all of our clients are opting for Windows 7 machines, as the “pain of change” to Win 8 is proving too costly as it takes quite some time for people to get used to Win 8 (and even then many don’t like it). If you have several staff, then multiply this frustration!
Microsoft have also announced that the next edition of Windows after Win 8 will be Windows 10. We’ve had previews and the short story is that it’s looking like a much more user friendly edition than Win 8. Many businesses and savvy users will skip straight from Win 7 to Win 10.
If you have been dreading getting a Win 8 machine and frustrated that these are all that is available in retail stores, then get in touch – we offer reliable cost-effective business grade computers than come standard with Win 7 Pro.

VISION: Cloud Coming
The Internet and then the “cloud” have been the buzz words for the last few years, especially online and in business magazines, and like many things in IT there has been both truth in that, as well as a significant degree of hype and over-selling.
But from the perspective of the practical and cost-effective needs of business people, things are really changing now. And what is safely on offer today is – choosing our words carefully – amazing.
Smaller businesses can get access to features they could not afford before, and larger businesses have more options and significantly reduced costs for many features.
We’ll be writing more about this in coming weeks, bit in the meantime, just get in touch if you’d like to know more.
